 All varieties are sold with 2 - 5 eyes with some varieties also offered as a 4+ year old plant with 6 - 10 eyes.                                                           The younger roots will take 3+ years to get established fully.                                                                           The older, more mature plants of 4+ years and more eyes will become established sooner.                  All varieties will last for decades with very little care.  Deer resistant.
Choose varieties flowering in early, mid and late season to have blooms for up to 7 weeks. Many make great long lasting cut flowers and some have a clean, fresh scent. Peonies prefer full sun or dappled light shade and are hardy from zone 2   (Itoh Peonies hardy from zone 3).

Adolphe Rousseau

A very large, handsome flower, with a slightly bitter scent.  Many of the side shoots will be single petalled.  Around since 1890, this cultivar has stood the test of time.

Alertie

Alertie is a sibling of  Pecher and Noemi Demay. All three varieties have a lot in common, but differ in terms of the number of stems per plant and the length of those stems. Alertie has the longest stems of all three peonies.

All That Jazz (Itoh)

Uniquely coloured with light beige petals and cranberry streaks, they are slightly lacinated at the ends, giving it a fluttery look.  Blooms below the foliage.

This hard to find variety is the perfect lemon yellow throughout all it's petals.  Different in the fact that it starts out as an anemone form then matures into a double bomb form, with a very slight fragrance.

Goldmine or Golden Wheel or Huang Jin Lun

A Peony of many secrets and many names.  Considered to be the very best true yellow herbaceous Peony it is slow growing.  This ancient Chinese variety was first recorded in the Tang Dynasty (800 AD).  A rare and unique cultivar and truly one to be added to your collection.

For over one hundred years this luscious, romantic pink Peony has stood the test of time. It is one of the most common Peonies grown in North America and for good reason. Highly prized as a cut flower, these fully double shell petals will surprise you with a touch of red every now and then. Perfectly fragrant, not too strong, not too mellow. If you can only grow one variety in your garden, this is the one.
